On the Swedish west coast, you find the city of Gothenburg, the second-largest city in Sweden. Gothenburg has extremely friendly people and they greet you with a very distinct but charming dialect. If you are a food lover, and especially sea food, Gothenburg will not disappoint you. You find several great options no matter budget.
To mention a few places we would highly recommend Feskekörka, the ‘fish church’ for gravlax, shrimp sandwiches and seafood salads and Saluhall Briggen a market full of fresh products, baked goods and ethnic eateries. Other great options for more traditional restaurants are Thörnströms Kök, Koka or Magnus & Magnus.
Since Gothenburg is located by the coast we can highly recommend visiting the archipelago. The Gothenburg archipelago is amazing and never before has there been so much to see and do. Experience nature, make new friends at an island Gin & Tonic bar or go on a fascinating seal safari. To read more about what you can do in Gothenburg, click here
