Welcome to one of Stockholm’s most hidden but still most conspicous art museums; Sven-Harrys Konstmuseum, located in Vasaparken. This art museum is fairly new, founded in 2011.
Sven-Harry’s art museum, a wonderfully golden building designed by Gert Wingårdh and Anna Höglund, unites a variety of activities: in addition to the art gallery and Sven-Harry’s “home”, it also houses a restaurant, apartments and commercial premises.
Sven-Harry’s art museum is owned and run by a foundation with the mission to promote activities in the field of art history, architecture and construction.
On the roof, as the crowning glory, is a replica of Sven-Harry’s former home, the 18th century manor Ekholmsnäs. It is surrounded by a terrace with sculptures and a fantastic view of Vasastan.
