Quality Hotel is making a major investment in indoor golf
In collaboration with Indoor Golf Group, Quality Hotel is now opening up its premises for golfers. At selected hotels, avid golfers, or curious about learning the game, will be able to play and train with the help of state-of-the-art golf simulators.
The pandemic has boosted interest in golf. For the first time in 10 years, the number of members on the golf courses has increased to half a million members. An almost 40% increase in the sport. Nordic winter, on the other hand, does not provide the best conditions for the perfect swing or putt. Together with Indoor Golf Group, Quality Hotel has found a replacement for frost-bitten tufts and frost-frozen bunkers. From 12 February, state-of-the-art golf simulators are offered at selected hotels in Sweden.
– As an active golfer, I know how important it is to keep the game going even during the winter to continue to develop as a player. I also know as a mother that the past year has been a challenge to employ the family at a time when much of what we are used to being able to do now is subject to restrictions. Therefore, I am extremely happy to now be able to combine the best of golf with the best of a hotel experience. Together with Indoor Golf Group, we can now offer good food and drink in connection with golf games, says Jenny Pieplow Benestam, Quality Hotel’s initiator and CEO of Quality Hotel View Malmö.
The premiere game will be on February 12 at Quality Hotel View in Malmö. Next in line is Quality Hotel The Box in Linköping, which opens for games in March. During the spring, Quality Indoor Golf will be offered at several of the hotels in Sweden.
– We are very happy about our partnership with Quality Hotel. Together we launch our Quality Indoor Golf concept around Sweden. This means that our joint customers get access to an absolute world-class indoor golf experience. The facilities are top notch when it comes to the environment and service. Together we will be able to offer a comfortable lounge feeling where you can combine your golfing with drinks and refreshments with a focus on the perfect experience and improved golf technology, says Fredrik Wredmark, CEO and founder of the company Indoor Golf Group.
Quality Indoor Golf is based on the authorities’ recommendation, which aims to reduce the spread of covid-19. Therefore, golfers will have their own room with a golf simulator where up to 8 people can take a round of golf at 100 selected golf courses in the world and together enjoy good food and drink. Guests will be offered special golf packages that can include accommodation, food, drinks and a spa.
