Trends, future predictions and expert knowledge – Formex offers a range of digital activities in August
Due to the current national situation, Formex in August has been canceled. Instead, Formex is providing a whole host of digital activities – the studio program Formex Talks on the three themes of Sustainability, Retail and Trends will be streamed on August 24–26, plus the trends for this fall will be presented in a digital trend guide.
Formex in August has been canceled due to the current national situation and the restrictions that the government has had to introduce. Until we can get together again, Team Formex is working intensively on producing digital activities for August 24–26, to update you on all the latest in the industry.
“We were so hoping to be able to hold a Formex in August. Instead, we will be organizing digital activities, enabling our visitors and exhibitors to take part in Formex Talks full of inspiration, trends and expert knowledge on key subjects for everyone in our industry. We now look forward to being able to meet visitors and exhibitors in January next year,” says Sara Ek, Event Manager for Formex.
Formex Talks will be streamed each morning on August 24–26, offering three packed studio programs with interesting guests, topical conversation and seminars. The three themes in the spotlight are Sustainability, Trends and Retail, with each program tackling the subject from a different perspective. Day 1 will see Maria Soxbo, journalist and co-founder of Klimatklubben, leading a program on the theme of Sustainability. Day 2 will be all about Trends, including a presentation of Formex Trends by designer and trend expert Jan Rundgren. The program will also examine the latest predictions for interior design. Day 3 will focus on the future of retail, with trend analyst Louise Byg Kongsholm, from Pej-gruppen, talking about how coronavirus has changed the consumer landscape in both the short and long term.
In addition, Formex Trends will be presented in a digital trend guide. This time, Team Formex is pulling together the trends in collaboration with experts such as Jan Rundgren. All the new products from the fair’s exhibitors will also be showcased on the Formex website.
